論文撰寫順序

從main body開始 (approach 以及 results)                    

> problem definition (可以做為introduction的一部分)

> conclusion

清楚且簡短

為一個phase，而非句子

不可以"The"為開頭 ( "A"可以 )

不可以不通用的簡寫為開頭

Abstract

通常為100-150字

不可包含 reference

避免公式

避免冗長的introduction，或是常見的motivation

強調論文想要解決之問題以及結果

包含關於研究方法之關鍵字 (方便論文搜尋系統搜尋，以及讀者閱讀)

Introduction

不可太長或太短

內容包含研究方法之 motivation/background

如果有從其他地方複製的句子，需有reference

絕對不可以重複 abstract 裡的句子

(related work/literature)

(overview of your approach and/or contributions) 通常貢獻會在最後一段或倒數第二段強調一次

orgenzation of the paper，可以使用以下字眼

-discuss

-give

-privide

有些論文會在最後一段寫各section介紹了什麼，簡單帶過整體論文架構

Literature review

最好將文獻回顧與introduction分開

不可以直接複製參考論文裡的句子

motivation可以再次section中

將本篇方法與其他方法進行比較

Body of paper

organization

- proposal approach/algorithm/protocal/methology...

- design: architecture,components,...

- implement 實作方式

- evaluation 評估

- discussions 討論

每一段都應該有一個主要句子(lead sentence)總結整段內容

use comsistent tense 使用持續時態

number ten or less are spelled out (?)

檢查缺少的文章 (?)

避免 in-line enumeration (?)

避免 itemization  (避免逐項列舉，例如: 總共有四項，第一項...第二項...)

避免 footnotes

避免 capitalization of terms (術語大寫)

避免 "etc." (尤其不要在 after such as, for example, like, ...)

Figures and Tables (and captions)

使用 "in Figure 1"或是"in Fig. 1" (不可以用 "following figure")  

中文論文裡就是要使用"如圖1"，而不要"下圖為..."

Abbreviations 對很長的專有名詞，可以在第一次出現時，指定簡念

其他需要避免的事情

避免過多動機

避免描述過於明顯的結果 (非洲過去一分鐘，等於台灣過去了60秒)

避免描述不必要的細節

避免使用we,I... 

中文論文裡，可以使用"本篇論文..."

避免太長的句子
